Lexus is On Top Again

Lexus is back into the highest demand premium car brand in the USA. Along this year 215.975 units was sent to customer despite the hard economic situation in the country. However, a hope was seen in December when sales rose 22% to 28.565 units. Thus, the Lexus remain in top spot in the last ten years.

Lexus sales suffered a heavy pressure in the first half of this year and down to the second position, but the condition slowly recovered in the second half. One of the cars that help the Lexus back to the top position is the Lexus RX.

While still maintaining the top position, Lexus sales this year are still much less than in 2008 with the difference number 17%. This year is the lowest point of car sales in the United States in 30 years.

Data which released in businessweek.com on last Tuesday, the closest rival is BMW with total sales of 196.502 units, down 21% from the same period last year. In the third position, Mercedes-Benz dropped 15 percent to 190.604 units.

Lexus was first introduced in the United States in 1989 and it always gets awards for the extraordinary quality of the product.
